Participatory Action Research

The process is:
Participatory – participants are researchers
Action – facilitators and participants work together towards practical outcomes
Research – facilitators and participants work together to learn new things.
We can learn about their issues and needs, what resources and services are available to them, and what barriers they face in accessing services.
We can plan action together with them to improve their access to resources and services.
We can do this in a way that does not harm participants but makes them feel safe and gives them strength and confidence.
