Policy Paper on behalf of women victims now!

ACbit, with the support of the UN Trust Fund to end Violence Against Women and its local partners, has authored a policy paper whose source is the collective voice of women victims ten years after the recommendations of the CAVR, Chega!, were given to the President.  With a lack of implementation and recognition of the recommendations to aid victims of conflict, this paper gives concrete steps to the government and civil-society to move forward.  This has been published in both English and Tetum versions.

About ACbit

The saying “Chega Ba Ita” underlines our belief that the CAVR report was written based on the experiences and voices of the people, for the people. It is not a document that should be shelved and forgotten. It is a living document to be understood, debated, and re-invented for generations to come.
