Felismina Lourdes, from Rotutu Village, in the municipality of Manufahi, is another woman survivor from the past conflict. During the Indonesian occupation Felismina and her family were often accused by the Indonesian army, and in 1982 they were convicted in Raifusa Betano, Same.

Felismina and her family and many people from Betano suffered ongoing torture, and in Raifusa starvation caused many deaths from 1982-1989.

Felismina works hard to support her family. She has a farm in her garden, planting corn, potatoes, taro, beans, oranges, and coffee. She brings her produce to sell in Same and sometimes also in Dili.

As a result of her enterprise, Felismina now has a nice house and can pay for her children to go to school.
