Marabia Community Exhibition

“We are truly glad to be able to see this exhibition because we can understand the history of Marabia event after 39 years later; all these years we only put flowers in the monument, but this year we can see this exhibition, we can gather with other fellows who was previously detained together in Atauro.” – Mariana Castro, survivor from Aisirimou, Aileu.
Marabia Community Exhibition has been launched today by Secgen Fretilin Dr. Mari Alkatiri, it was also attended by President and Vice President of the 10 June Committee, important actors of Marabia uprising: Sr. David D. Ximenes “Mandati”, Mana Madalena Kasian and others, families of victims and survivors from Marabia event, and students and youths. The exhibition was launched after the Holy Mass for the 10 June Marabia event. This exhibition was co-produced by ACbit, AJAR, the National Victims’ Association, and the 10 June Committee.
